What I do

TRANSLATION

I translate from German and French into English (both European and North American variants). My specialty is technical documentation: equipment specifications, product brochures, technical manuals, instruction booklets, proposals, presentations, to name but a few. My subject areas include, but are not limited to:
  • mechanical engineering
  • civil engineering
  • electrical engineering
  • architecture and construction technologies
  • mining
  • environmental science and technology
  • IT and software localization
  • website translation
  • social sciences

I deliver on time and print-ready in MS Office formats. For quality assurance and consistency, my CAT tool of preference is memoQ. I can also deliver using Trados Studio.
EDITING

Prior to accepting editing and proof-reading work, I believe it is vital to discuss the intended use of your document to gain an in-depth understanding of the target audience, the style and the means of delivery. I familiarise myself with specialised vocabulary and terminology in your area of activity. Following the initial consultation, I will provide you with an accurate estimate of both cost and delivery times, and you can rest assured that they will be strictly adhered to.
